Greenpeace International (GPI) is seeking a Nature Finance Expert to support our projects and campaigns on biodiversity. Our biodiversity campaigners and issue experts, spread across the world, focus on land use, forest, food and oceans, working towards transforming the way humans interact with the natural world around us.

You will act as an analyst and expert, providing advice to the GPI Biodiversity & Climate Team, campaigners, engagement and communication colleagues, on economic and finance questions related to nature and biodiversity, globally.

In this role you will:

  • Organize internal webinars, training and other forums on emerging technical issues that are relevant for our biodiversity and climate related campaigns.
  • Follow key developments and regularly summarise these to our campaigners.
  • Identify, commission and coordinate external research, investigation and analysis, to support global campaign project goals.

What we’re looking for:

  • Ability to grasp new and complex concepts and areas of nature/land use finance – quickly and accurately – and to turn them into coherent campaign strategies.
  • Ability to identify and conduct own research and to prepare external and internal reports, policy positions, fact sheets and briefings in support of campaign developments.
  • Ability to value and promote diversity, with experience in an international and multicultural environment.
